Volga-Dnepr Airlines, the leader in the sector of air cargo transportation of oversized and super heavy shipments, has organized the delivery of a crankshaft from Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Mumbai, India.

The flight was chartered by DHL Global Forwarding for the 38-ton shipment, which had been packaged in a 7-meter long box alongside some support equipment required for loading.

Within 12 hours of receiving the request, Volga-Dnepr’s experienced logistics specialists developed several loading and packaging options for the customer. This promptness, and Volga Dnepr’s ability to provide a bespoke cargo platform for the required weight distribution reduced the lead-time for the uplift accordingly.

Our aircraft, equipped with modern engines and unrestricted for global operations, secure extended opportunities for us to satisfy the market demands of the energy sector,” stated Ekaterina Andreeva, Deputy Commercial Director, Volga-Dnepr Charter Cargo Operations.
