Welcome to the latest edition of our Wquarterly newsletter, the NAFL Review.
We are grateful and thankful to HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, our Honorary Patron, for all his unconditional support to us for almost 25 years and his trust in me and our NAFL Board of Directors.

I would also like to express my thanks to all our valuable members and our team for their continued support to our organization and our projects. I am humbled by your trust in me to lead the group as NAFL President.
This year has been a busy one for many of us in the logistics and freight forwarding industry with so many changes in the business landscape going on not only in the UAE but elsewhere in the world.

The changing times with the advent of e-Commerce is calling for our key personnel to upgrade their skills and knowledge. NAFL is with you in this endeavor with our different FIATA certified courses available throughout the year and we have them in a more intensive form where you can complete the required hours
within a four-month period.

As promised this year, we are preparing exciting workshops on VAT, soft skills, leadership, logistics, innovation and much more as well as working with top universities for global executive programs. New e-Learning programs will also be introduced.

We had completed many seminars on air cargo, Blockchain Technology, VAT, DGR materials handling, NLP, insurance and claims as well as freight.
One of our major media projects this year is the first NAFL international directory which will be distributed to local, regional and international trade offices , freight networks and International Chambers of Commerce. Our main goal is to disseminate information about the UAE and our industry and have higher exposure
for our members on a regional and international scale.

As NAFL members, you are privileged to have your companies listed for free in the directory. Full advertisements are offered at discounted prices and you may contact 7Dimensions Media and the NAFL Secretariat for this. This newsletter carries the form for the free listing. I hope you will all participate in this project.I would also like to extend our well wishes to our rulers for their great humanitarian initiatives in The Year of Giving through the launch of the UAE Food Bank, which NAFL supports, among many other projects, across the region and the world where help is needed. We have also sponsored students for the FIATA diploma, and we hope to graduate more of our local talent in this field.

We have also planned to work with schools and universities to have short freight/import/export handling courses to the students. We also would like to express our gratitude to Dubai Trade, the General Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Customs, DP World, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, DMCC, DED, Ministry of Finance, Abu Dhabi government, Dubai Cargo Village and our national airlines, IATA, for continuously
supporting our recent and ongoing projects and engaging us in their activities.
Our focus in NAFL is to raise the freight and logistics industry standards with our partners in the government as well as the private sector. We also hope to simultaneously get more business networks for our members as well as provide
cost savings through various holistic approaches taken by NAFL.

We will have some site visits in October to the Abu Dhabi Airport Freezone and we will organizeother exciting site visits. We will have a workshop with Dubai Trade on the logi-gate portal which can easily generate business for your trucks and warehousing facilities with a secure payment mode via the Dubai Trade Portal.
As always, my door is open to all for suggestions, comments, concerns, or simply to
talk. We are here for you and we hope that through this platform, we can communicate
effectively as industry partners and help you grow.

See you in our next upcoming events and always wishing you great success and happiness.
