MAB Kargo expands in Thailand

MAB Kargo has expanded its presence in Thailand with the launch of new short-haul freighter service to Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. This new flight is a weekly freighter service operated with Airbus 330 freighter that has the capacity of 60 tonnes payload.



The new service operates to BKK from its hub, Kuala Lumpur and the airline expects to begin its service in December.



This new flight is introduced to tap the rising cargo movements between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The once-a-week service to Bangkok starts in Kuala Lumpur with a stop en route to Bangkok via Hanoi, before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. This multi-stop service provides customers with the additional benefit to move cargo between these cities. BKK is also one of the rising cargo hubs for major carriers. With these new flights, MAB Kargo will facilitate growing trade flows between Malaysia and Thailand. In addition to regular cargo goods, this flight will handle the transportation of machineries and agricultural products of both countries.



With Bangkok now added to its flight network, MAB Kargo has expanded its freighter network to more than 22 destinations around the world. With this recent addition, it will boost up and strengthen MAB Kargo’s presence in the Southeast Asia market as well as capitalising air freight growth in Thailand.
