GEFCO strengthens its HRL service

GEFCO Forwarding UK Ltd has moved its Humanitarian Relief Logistics (HRL) headquarters to a new facility, EuroCentral, in Glasgow, Scotland, and appointed Ben Cunnington to head the new division.

Cunnington brings over six years’ experience in the transport and logistics sector, having also held a range of senior roles at TNT Express, Energy Armor Racing, Tesco PLC, and PDC Diving.

“We are delighted to be able to use our expertise to support the global humanitarian relief sector, helping the most vulnerable people in our communities,” said Cunnington.

“Logistics plays a crucial role in this sector as it determines the speed and effectiveness of deliveries that can save lives and alleviate suffering.”

As part of his new role, Cunnington will manage the transportation of humanitarian goods, primarily to destinations in Africa and the Mid-East.

Cunnington previously worked as Business Development Manager – Scotland for GEFCO Forwarding UK, where he was focused on the oil and gas, energy, and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.

Cunnington will work with Derek Scott, Branch Manager, at the Glasgow office.

Scott has over 20 years’ of experience in the logistics and transport industry, having previously worked at DSV, Schlumberger, and Air and Cargo Services Ltd.
