Beond Airlines Announces Flights Between Zurich and Dubai
Beond, the world’s first premium leisure airline, is pleased to announce approval of its plans to operate between Zurich and Dubai. The airline anticipates its service will be well-received by business and leisure customers in Zurich and Dubai, seeking to enjoy the best that each destination has to offer.
“Connecting Zurich with Dubai is a natural extension of our business model, as customers have expressed interest in this service. Our customers want to visit Dubai as a top resort and tourism destination, and customers in Dubai want to visit Zurich for access to leisure activities and stunning natural beauty,” said Tero Taskila, CEO and Chairman of Beond.
The authorization granted is a fifth freedom flight, which permits Beond to carry customers between two countries that are different from the home country of the airline, the Maldives. It is granted by the agreement of the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) and local authorities in Switzerland. Beond operates at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and Zurich International Airport (ZRH).
“We wish to specifically thank the MCAA and Swiss authorities for approving our service, and for the support we’ve received from Velana International Airport in Malé, Maldives, Al Maktoum International Airport, and Flughafen Zürich,” Taskila said.
Beond will operate up to two flights per week between Dubai and Zurich, providing discerning customers with unparalleled comfort and exclusivity between the cities.

DWC to Zurich (ZRH) – B4 090 departing DWC at 02:00 and arriving at ZRH at 07:00 on Tuesdays, (departing 15:50 and arriving at 20:50 on Fridays).
ZRH to DWC – B4 091 departing ZRH at 16:30 and arriving to DWC at 00:35 on Tuesdays, (departing 21:50 and arriving at 05:55 on Fridays).

Today’s announcement follows Beond’s inaugural flight from Dubai to Malé, Maldives and receipt of a second aircraft, an Airbus A321 presently undergoing refurbishment. Service from Milan, Italy to Malé, Maldives begins in July.
