Aeroflot Group cargo volume rises in October

The Aeroflot Group (which includes smaller carriers such as Rossiya and Aurora as well as Aeroflot – Russian Airlines) carried a total of 21,754.9 tonnes of cargo and mail in October as compared to 13,610.2 tonnes of cargo and mail carried in the same period in 2015. This represents an increase of 59.8 percent.



Over the first ten months of the year, cargo volumes for the Group stood at 159,674.5 tonnes, up by 28 percent year on year.



In October 2016, Aeroflot Group carried 3.8 million passengers, up 11.5 percent year-on-year. Aeroflot airline carried 2.6 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 11.2 percent.



In the first ten months of 2016, Aeroflot Group carried 36.7 million passengers, up 9.5 percent year-on-year. Aeroflot airline carried 24.3 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent. Group and Company revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) increased by 13.7 percent and 11.1 percent year-on-year, respectively.



Available seat kilometres (ASKs) rose by 9.5 percent year-on-year for Aeroflot Group and by 8.7 percent for Aeroflot airline.



The passenger load factor increased by 3.0 percentage points (p.p.) year-on-year to 82.2 percent for the Group and by 1.7 p.p. year-on-year to 82.0 percent for the Company.
