Turkish Cargo joins cargo.one to digitalize its sales process
Turkish Cargo has become the latest airline to place its capacity on the online booking portal cargo.one as the industry continues to digitalize the sales process.
The portal said that within the next few weeks freight forwarder users would be able to book capacities across Turkish Cargo’s network of more than 340 destinations, 100 of direct cargo – including important centers of commerce in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
The addition of carriers and capacity is important to the booking portals as it gives their users more options when they perform a search for flights.
Cargo.one pointed out that Turkish Cargo flies to more countries in the world and is one of the fastest growing cargo airlines.
“Turkish Cargo is a major international operator, achieving exceptional growth across market segments, flight network and transported tonnage in recent years,” cargo.one said.
“In 2010, the carrier was ranked 33rd in the world, and has risen steadily to 14th in 2017, and now 5th globally in 2022.”
Adnan Karaismailoğlu, senior vice president of cargo business development and organisation at Turkish Cargo, said: “Turkish Cargo’s partnership with cargo.one will [expand] our digital footprint and improve sales capabilities.
“We, as Turkish Cargo, are firmly on a trajectory towards our target to become one of the top three air cargo brands in the world in line with the strategic vision.”
Moritz Claussen, founder and co-chief executive of cargo.one, added: “This is great news for every freight forwarder – no other platform offers more airlines for live booking than cargo.one, making it not just the most user-friendly, but also the most useful platform out there.”
Cargo.one said that it now has 40 bookable airlines onboard and close to 50% of global air cargo capacity for instant booking.
The move is not the carrier’s first foray into online platforms, it also offers its capacity on WebCargo.
