Swissport and Vietjet Air Unveil Strategic Pact to Transform Global Air Cargo Services
Swissport has struck a deal with Vietjet to support and advise the Vietnamese low-cost airline in developing air cargo handling services and managing air cargo centres to the highest international standards.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Swissport and the Vietnamese low-cost airline was signed this week at the Vietnam-Australia Business Forum in Melbourne, Australia.
The MoU will also see Swissport provide a wide range of airport ground services.
“We look forward to working with Vietjet Air to identify strategic opportunities and investments in ground handling, cargo services and terminal infrastructure,” said Brad Moore, chief executive for the Asia/Pacific region of Swissport International.
“Our agreement is a testament to the continued growth in the region and our shared focus on exceptional customer service, innovation and quality. It is our intention to expand our partnership beyond Australia, Japan and Korea where we currently operate, and become Vietjet Air’s preferred partner globally.”
With a fleet of over 100 aircraft, Vietjet Air serves a network of more than 120 destinations across Vietnam and throughout Asia. Vietjet Air also develops and provides aviation services, in particular air cargo and ground services.
