Singapore Airshow 2024 to enthral audience with the largest number of flying teams in its history
Singapore Airshow 2024, held at the Changi Exhibition Centre from 20 to 25 February, will see a total of eight aerial displays including one flypast from six air forces and two commercial companies.
This edition’s aerial performances present the largest number of foreign flying teams with Indian Air Force’s Sarang showcasing its aerobatic manoeuvres at Singapore Airshow for the first time. The line-up also includes the Royal Australian Air Force’s Roulettes, Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter and Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles. The United States Air Force’s B-52 Stratofortress will also be making a flypast on 22 February.
Capping the list is the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s integrated aerial display team featuring an F-15SG fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.
And flying for the first time at Singapore Airshow, is the C919, a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC, which is making its maiden participation at Asia’s most influential aerospace and defence event. Commercial plane enthusiasts can also look forward to Airbus’ A350-1000 aerial display which is returning to mesmerise with its remarkable combination of grace and efficiency.
Mr Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director, Experia, organiser of the Singapore Airshow, said: “Flying performances are always a key highlight at Singapore Airshow. As the public were either given limited or no access in the previous two editions due to safety measures during a pandemic, we anticipate strong interest in the upcoming flying performances. We are especially thrilled to welcome familiar favourites; and also flying teams and aircraft that are flying at Singapore Airshow for the first time.”
The flying displays will be held once a day at 12:30pm on 20 February, 11:30am on 21 and 22 February; while during Weekend@Airshow (formerly known as Public Days), it will be twice a day at 11:30am and 2:30pm on 24 and 25 February. However, these schedule and timings are subject to changes and attendees are advised to check the Singapore Airshow website for the latest update.
Weekend@Airshow tickets can be purchased from SISTIC at the following prices: SGD$34 for adults, SGD$17 for children aged 3 to 12 years, and SGD$240 for the group package, which includes 4 tickets and 1 car park label.
