Precision Aircraft Solutions completes big milestone with 150th main cargo door assembly
Conversion firm Precision Aircraft Solutions has completed its 150th B757-200PCF main cargo door assembly.
This milestone comes after the conversion type reached its one-millionth flight hour earlier this year, said Precision.
“Nearly 17 years after the STC approval in 2005, demand for the converted fleet type remains strong,” said the company.
Precision’s manufacturing capabilities include the main cargo doors for both 757-200PCF and A321-200PCF conversion STCs.
Based in Portland, Oregon, the company is a design, engineering, manufacturing and certification provider of highly specialized and advanced aircraft mission conversion programs.
Last month, aircraft lessor AerSale placed an order for six additional B757-200 conversions from Precision. The deal includes four options and brings AerSales’ total number of commitments with Precision to 16.
In January, it was announced that 321 Precision Conversions, a joint venture between Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) and Precision Aircraft Solutions, will expand its capacity through an agreement with HAECO Xiamen as it looks to meet high demand for A321 conversions.
In the same month, a joint venture (JV) formed by Zetland Capital Partners and Greenwich Highland Aviation (GHA) secured four A321-200PCF conversion slots with 321 Precision Conversions.
