Golden Scent launches e-com app in the UAE
Golden Scent, a premium perfume and cosmetics e-commerce platform is expanding in the GCC with the launch of its e-com app in the UAE.
The company has also crossed 1 million app downloads with an increase of product portfolio by 250%. The platform has partnered with 3PLs and last mile operators in the country to handling its logistics.
“We continue expanding our reach by partnering with current logistics and last mile companies meeting our customer expectations and with the ability to cope with new market needs,” said Malik Shehab, CEO, Golden Scent.
“Golden Scent has been relying on logistics companies to operate its supply chain in targeted regions, partnering with local companies in those markets,” he added. “They engage with local suppliers, which benefits us as there is less handling and it minimises stock transfer as goods go directly to the final customer.”
Golden Scent’s product offerings in the makeup and skincare category grew 40%, while new categories such as beauty tools and hair care were introduced. Golden Scent has also signed exclusive contracts with brands that are only available through the platform.
“Our first step was to streamline the purchase experience,” said Shehab. “We’re now investing in scaling up both our presence and our product lines so consumers have incredible choice mated to convenience. We’re not just giving our clients access to the widest possible range of beauty products but are also going the extra mile to tie up with trending brands that are available exclusively through us.”
The company’s regional distribution centre is located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, although a UAE 3PL is now fulfilling store offer value-added services and packaging for the local market.
Golden Scent is an online shop for genuine perfume and cosmetics. The e-commerce website was founded in 2014.
It delivers perfumes and cosmetics of international premium brands throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. Golden Scent was first launched in Saudi Arabia to attract online users by offering easy access to premium perfume and beauty products.
