Saudia Cargo upbeat over Air Cargo India 2018
With India one of the fastest growing cargo and aviation markets in the world and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s major bilateral economic partner, Saudia Cargo is upbeat over the three-day exhibition Air Cargo India 2018.
Saudia Arabia is the 4th largest market in the world for Indian exports after China, US and the UAE. Its major exports include food products, electronics, machineries and raw materials. The Kingdom, likewise, accounts for India’s major imports, primarily oil, metal products and precious stones.
Bilateral trade between the two countries was valued at USD25 billion in 2016-17.
At the event, Saudia Cargo will showcase its capabilities and expertise in handling general and special cargo, among other specialized freight services, in keeping up with the event’s “fly perishables & fly pharma” theme for the booth.
The freight company’s booth at the 7th Edition of ACI 2018 scheduled from 20-22 February, 2018 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai will welcome guests and inquiries. Reliable and effective mode of transportation is a key element to keep up with the fast growing pace of commercial trade between India and KSA and to the rest of the world.
Rainer Muller, Executive Director Commercial underscored the event’s importance in connecting with the global cargo industry and share insights on many issues and challenges that affect the sector.

Global biennial trade exhibition
The seventh edition of AIR CARGO INDIA, the most popular in the region and one of the best networked global biennial trade exhibition cum conference of the air cargo industry in India that just kicked off in Mumbai is expected to see a large gathering of more than 3000 shippers & visitors to attend an air cargo event.
The event started with a traditional inauguration ceremony led by the Mrs. Vandana Agarwal, Economic Advisor in Ministry of Civil Aviation who was the guest of honor. She visited the Saudia Cargo stand which was unique and of a thematic design focused on ‘Fly Perishables & Fly Pharma’ which drew the attention of her and the other delegates along with Mr. RK Patra, Group Editor-in-chief, STAT Media.

Major Indian exports include fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, basmati rice, textiles and machinery, while it imports organic and inorganic chemicals, metal scrap, leather, gold and oil from Saudi Arabia.
