Chapman Freeborn has been voted Best Full-Service Charter Company at the Aviation Achievement Awards.

The global aircharterer was recognised for its critical role reinforcing supply chains’ resilience through time-critical deliveries, rapid response to humanitarian crises, and private passenger charters.

“This award is testament to the wide range of expertise across our global team, encompassing everything from the oil and gas sector to humanitarian disaster relief and luxury air travel,” said Linas Dovydenas, President – India, Middle East and Africa, Chapman Freeborn.

“I am confident that Chapman Freeborn is well-placed to build on this success following significant investment over the last year in new geographies, partnerships, and leadership.”

The awards ceremony, organised by MEA Business, was held at the Ritz Carlton in Dubai.

This follows the shortlisting of Chapman Freeborn at the STAT Trade Times International Awards for Excellence in Air Cargo earlier this month and victory at the Payload Asia Awards in October last year, where it was recognised as Air Charter Broker of the Year for the second year in a row.

New French Operations Base

Chapman Freeborn, a leading air charter company, has announced the launch of a new operations base in France as part of its strategic expansion in the European market. This move follows a comprehensive restructure of its European operations, including the appointment of a new general sales agent in Eastern Europe and the establishment of a European music and entertainment division. The expansion aims to enhance Chapman Freeborn’s cargo and passenger services across the continent.

James Edwards, Vice President Passenger – Europe, expressed his enthusiasm for the new French base, stating, “France is a major market in our industry, and I am extremely proud to launch our presence here.” He highlighted the company’s exceptional growth in Europe over the past two years and the increasing demand for passenger services, particularly in France.

The new French team includes Tiphanie Marie as Passenger Sales Manager and Wajdi Zarra as Senior Passenger Charter Broker, both reporting to Edwards. Additionally, Yoann Maugran has been appointed as Cargo Sales Manager, reporting to James Gilliard, Vice President Cargo Sales – Europe. These appointments establish Chapman Freeborn’s presence in Paris and the South of France, further strengthening its European operations.

This expansion is part of Chapman Freeborn’s long-term strategy for sustainable growth, which also included the appointment of Bernardo Nunes as Chief Operating Officer last November. The company aims to achieve stronger cultural, strategic, and operational leadership at all levels, ensuring continued success in the competitive air charter industry.
