MOSOLF Group Acquires STOOF International GmbH
The MOSOLF Group has taken over STOOF International GmbH, one of the world’s leading providers of armoured vehicles and safety equipment. As a result, MOSOLF is continuing to expand its position in its Special Vehicles division. STOOF International GmbH will continue to operate using its current business name in future too.
The MOSOLF Group, one of the leading providers of logistics and service solutions for the automobile industry, is consolidating its position in the Special Vehicles division. Provided that the German Federal Cartel Office approves the development, MOSOLF will take over STOOF International GmbH with effect from 31 March 2025. The manufacturer of special armoured vehicles, which has its headquarters in Borkheide near Berlin, specialises in converting vehicles made by different manufacturers into armoured vehicles. The agreement was signed on 3 February this year.
“We’re taking over a very well managed and technically modern family business, which ideally complements our service portfolio in our Special Vehicles division. Thanks to the expertise provided by the highly qualified specialists in vehicle armouring and bodywork, we can offer the complete range of specially protected vehicles around the world with immediate effect. As a result, we’re taking a crucial step towards implementing our growth plans. We’ll achieve synergy effects through having STOOF International GmbH on board and can press ahead with our internationalisation process in the Special Vehicles division,” says Gregory Hancke, a member of the MOSOLF Group’s Management Board, explaining the development.
“Having the MOSOLF Group as our new owner offers us the guarantee that our company will continue to develop in the long term – and this includes new safety requirements too. This also offers our 150 employees secure future prospects,” says the previous owner and managing director, Fred Stoof.
Fred Stoof will continue to provide his expertise as a consultant as the company comes under the new umbrella of the MOSOLF Group. Gregory Hancke, who is also a member of the MOSOLF Group’s Management Board and is responsible for the Special Vehicles division, will become the new CEO. Ira Bartels, who is a member of the Management Board at STOOF International GmbH, will remain as the company’s CFO.
Ever since it was founded in 1865, STOOF International GmbH has overcome many challenges, continued to develop and established a strong position for itself in the field of armour-plated vans and specially protected SUVs. As an efficient company operating in the security sector, STOOF International GmbH offers a broad range of specially protected off-road vehicles, armoured limousines, armoured vans for transporting money and valuables as well as trucks. STOOF International GmbH will continue to operate using its current business name within MOSOLF’s Special Vehicles division.
