WestJet Cargo has expanded its digital presence by partnering with CargoAi. Freight forwarders can now book general cargo and perishables to all WestJet destinations via CargoAi’s CargoMART platform and CargoCONNECT APIs.

Customers can access real-time capacities, rates, and shipment tracking. This includes destinations in Canada, the US, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Kirsten de Bruijn, Executive Vice President of Cargo at WestJet, stated, “We want our customers to have easy, convenient, and immediate access to the information and services they require. Partnering with CargoAi was the logical next step in our digital transformation journey.”

Matt Petot, CEO of CargoAi, added, “Our platform offers real-time pricing and capacity information around the clock. It provides tools for greater visibility and insight into the environmental impact of shipments.”

The rollout began in December 2024, giving CargoAi customers full access to WestJet Cargo’s network. This move follows WestJet Cargo’s recent integration with Freightos’ WebCargo and 7LFreight platforms, boosting access in North America, Europe, and Asia.

WestJet Cargo Joins Freightos Platforms

Freightos Limited, a global leader in freight booking and payment, has announced the integration of Canada’s WestJet Cargo into its WebCargo and 7LFreight platforms.

This partnership allows freight forwarders to access WestJet Cargo’s air freight network, view real-time rates, make eBookings, and pay online.

The airline enhances WebCargo’s network on key routes from Calgary (YYC) to major international hubs such as Tokyo Narita (NRT), London Heathrow (LHR), and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). Freight forwarders can now digitally access WestJet Cargo’s services for transporting general cargo, perishables, high-value goods, pharmaceuticals, and time-sensitive shipments.
