Mammoth Freighters and Collins Aerospace Optimize Cargo Handling for 777P2F Market
Mammoth Freighters LLC is excited to announce the receipt of the first complete shipset of the Collins Aerospace (“Collins”) cargo loading system for its 777-200LRMF passenger-to-freighter conversion. This milestone is the result of three years of close collaboration between Mammoth and Collins to optimize the system for the 777 P2F market.
“Our mission at Mammoth is to develop one of the most productive and economical long-range freighters in the world, incorporating fundamentals that exceed the current and future demands of the widebody freighter market,” said Cameron France, Vice President of Operations at Mammoth. “The specialized 777-200LRMF cargo loading system is a crucial component that leverages Collins’ proven powered widebody freighter technologies.”
Mr. France further noted, “Operators already using the Collins cargo loading system on 777 production freighters overwhelmingly endorse the selection of the Collins product due to its high level of parts commonality and reliability.”
At present, Mammoth has two 777 aircraft in advanced stages of freighter conversion at Aspire MRO, its modification partner facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The certification process is progressing smoothly, and the company anticipates achieving full certification of the 777-200LRMF in the second half of this year.
