The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) has revalidated the National Association of Freight & Logistics-UAE training programs.

This means its diplomas and certificates will continue to be internationally recognized.

NAFL, the first freight and logistics national association in the region, got its revalidation during the recently held FIATA World Congress in Dublin, Ireland.

Nadia Abdul Aziz, president of NAFL, says the FIATA revalidation, which occurs every four years, is a very important component of the courses offered at the NAFL Training Institute located along Sheikh Zayed Road, because it meant that participants can use it to their advantage anywhere in the world.

Abdul Aziz traveled to Dublin along with three other NAFL officials: Vice President Ahmad Razeq, Executive Board Member Ibrahim Abu Zayed and Secretary General Sudesh Chaturvedi.

Chaturvedi said FIATA reviewed the contents of NAFL courses and we’re convinced that it’s at par with the global standards.

“The revalidation will allow us to continue offering four different modules, from the basics to the supply-chain. Our instructors are practicing industry professionals,” he said. “The idea is basically to help member companies bring up the quality of their staff. And two, to help beginners learn from the experts.”

The NAFL Training Center is also recognized by the UAE’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority or KHDA.

Abdul Aziz said freight and logistics offer job security for those who want to establish a career in the industry and their office stands ready to help those who need training in the process as this sector has great potential for growth.

“The FIATA revalidation means our courses are internationally recognized,” she said. “And this will benefit employees in the industry tremendously.”

Founded in 1926, FIATA is recognized as a nongovernment organization leading the industry with about 44,000 forwarding and logistics firms as members which collectively employ up to 10 million people in 150 countries.

NAFL represents and works with all the seven emirates in the UAE in their quest to promote the country’s freight and logistics.
