Magma Aviation launches 1st regular flights to China

Freighter operator Magma Aviation has added its first regular scheduled flights to China.

The Chapman Freeborn subsidiary’s China operations address growing demand and broaden its access to customers in the Asia Pacific region, the airline said.

Taking place three to four times per week on a Boeing 747-400 freighter, the routing is a return journey between Liège Airport in Belgium and Nanchang ChangbeiInternational Airport in China.

Paul Hoatson, head of network planning & alliances at Magma Aviation, commented: “By opening China, Magma Aviation now operates 29 dedicated flights per week on behalf of our customers across the US, Africa, Asia and Europe.”

Magma Aviation plans to add additional capacity in the Asia Pacific region throughout 2023 to further support customer requirements.

Magma Aviation markets dedicated widebody cargo aircraft capacity, contracted on an exclusive basis from third-party airlines.

It currently manages a fleet of 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft and offers ad hoc and regular flying capacity to freight forwarders, logistics providers and charter brokers.
