2024 UKWA Awards: DSV Wins Excellence in Sustainability for Green Initiatives

We are absolutely delighted to announce that DSV has been named the winner of the Award for Excellence in Sustainability at the prestigious 2024 UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) Awards.

The Award for Excellence in Sustainability commends organisations that excel in driving positive change through energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and the implementation of environmental initiatives.  This award recognises those leading the way towards a greener planet, setting an example for others in the industry.

UKWA recognised that at DSV, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword: it’s a core value.  We’re aiming for net-zero by 2050 with Science Based Targets and Green Logistics solutions, including CO2 reporting and sustainable warehousing.  We use renewable energy from the grid as well as generating our own via solar panels and send the majority of our waste for energy recovery or reuse schemes. Additionally, our Repair Services promote a circular economy, while supporting biodiversity with bug hotels, tree planting and beekeeping.

In addition to winning this much-coveted award, we were also shortlisted for the Award for Excellence in Infrastructure category.

The awards ceremony was a fantastic event held at the Royal Lancaster London, where the winners were revealed.  It was an honour to be part of this celebration of excellence in the warehousing sector, and we’re truly grateful for the recognition.
