With the complete new truck range, Scania intends to set a new standard for what is premium in the transport industry

The result of ten years of development work and investments of over two billion Euros, the new truck generation builds on the values, strategies, and innovations, which for the past 127 years have made Scania an industry leader.

The new truck range has been designed for greater fuel efficiency through improved powertrains and better aerodynamics, and comes with 24 different cab models.

Notably, the new range also features the world’s first rollover side curtain airbag for truck drivers.

“Scania’s new truck generation aims to drive the evolution of the transportation industry in line with the ambitions of the UAE National Agenda 2021,” said Özcan Barmoro, managing director of Scania Middle East. “Our new truck range will contribute to the ambitions of the UAE to become a sustainable nation, powered by smart technology solutions.”

Thani Al Shirawi, CEO of Al Shirawi, distributor for Scania in Dubai and Northern Emirates, said he expected the new truck range to help Scania retain and even grow marketshare in a slow regional market.
