United Airlines increases its Chinese services
United Airlines has increased its services to China with the first trans-Pacific service to Xi’an from San Francisco.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner service will operate three times a week between 8 May and 27 October. The outbound flight will depart San Francisco International Airport at 13.25h on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport at 17.30h the following day. The return flight will leave Xi’an at 09.30h on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving back in San Francisco at 06.35h the same day.
United Vice President of Atlantic and Pacific sales, Marcel Fuchs, says, “United is celebrating our 30th anniversary of service linking the US and China this year and there couldn’t be a better way to honor our proud and long-standing relationship than by being the first airline to offer customers nonstop trans-Pacific service to Xi’an.”
The airline will also start San Francisco – Hangzhou services on 13 July. It already operates a number of services to China, connecting Beijing with Chicago, New York Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles; Shanghai with Chicago, Guam, Los Angeles, New York Newark and San Francisco; Chengdu and San Francisco; and Hong Kong with Chicago, Guam, New York Newark and San Francisco.
