Qatar Airways Cargo, IAG Cargo & MASkargo Launch Global Joint Venture

Qatar Airways Cargo, IAG Cargo, and MASkargo have announced plans to launch a Global Cargo Joint Business. Pending regulatory approval, the partnership aims to enhance service levels for customers and partners worldwide.

This strategic partnership unites the expertise and infrastructure of three leading air cargo providers, aiming to deliver substantial benefits to customers.

A streamlined product offering, enhanced connectivity, faster transit times, and new routing opportunities across their combined extensive networks will deliver greater value and service flexibility to customers worldwide. In parallel, the parties are jointly working at developing industry-leading harmonized safety and security standards for their customers.

This ground-breaking trilateral partnership will significantly improve the accessibility and efficiency of air freight, enabling customers to expand their global air freight. By combining their resources, Qatar Airways Cargo, IAG Cargo and MASkargo plan to build a truly connected, more agile cargo network that will address the evolving needs of global trade and logistics.

Qatar Airways Cargo Launches TechLift for Semiconductor Transport

Qatar Airways Cargo has launched TechLift, its latest product innovation. This product significantly improves air cargo transportation across the entire semiconductor industry, a crucial and expanding sector.

TechLift is designed to meet the specialized handling and logistics requirements of today’s semiconductor industry. It leads the industry in offering unique protection, including targeted shock absorption for all ground and aircraft equipment. The team transports various semiconductor products such as integrated circuits, chipsets, and microchips. They also handle urgent semiconductor manufacturing machinery, capital and testing equipment, doped chemicals, and cutting, stripping, and etching wafers.

It also includes specialized handling techniques as per commodity-specific operational guidelines and protection from adverse weather conditions. We operate shock-absorbing 20-ft and 40-ft transport dollies in Doha, allowing us to offer a 90-minute minimum connection time and quick ramp transfer. Qatar Airways Cargo and Unilode Enter into Transformative Digitalization Partnership

The partnership will see the digitalization of the carrier’s entire fleet of ULDs (unit load devices)

Qatar Airways Cargo and Unilode Aviation Solutions, the industry leader in outsourced ULD management, repair, and digital services, have teamed up to digitalize the airline’s fleet of more than 42,000 ULDs.

This partnership marks the biggest ULD digitalization initiative ever carried out by an airline. Qatar Airways Cargo will utilize Unilode’s cutting-edge ULD digitalization technology to access valuable data-driven insights and real-time tracking of ULD locations, sensor data, and asset usage. With Unilode’s digital solutions, Qatar Airways Cargo aims to enhance its operations, optimize resources, create new revenue opportunities, and improve overall performance, solidifying its leadership in the industry.

The partnership with Qatar Airways Cargo will make sure Unilode’s tag and reader network is further extended to cover the carriage of ULDs on the airline’s global passenger and cargo network. The tag and reader network will be supported by E-ULD, Unilode’s in-house developed mobile app and web portal that enables real-time visibility, and tracking, of ULDs. Unilode’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and customer portal, which provide the airline with enhanced data analytics to improve ULD utilization and further reduce costs.
