Airport Solutions Indonesia conference delegates were able to hear from Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Transportation, Indonesia and M. Iksan Tatang, Executive Chairman, IABI ahead of other key industry leaders over the past two days at the Jakarta Exhibition Centre.

Speaking at the event, Ramadan Pardarma, Vice President of Corporate Planning and Transformation, PT Angkasa Pura 1 (Persero) told the assembled crowd that airport development in Indonesia successfully leverages the economy and tourism industry. “Stakeholders need to work hand in hand and support each other, from the government and immigration to airlines and ground handling.” He continued, “This will help us to achieve our goal of becoming the leading airports in the region in terms of service, technology and entertainment.”

The two-day conference featured key industry leaders who shared their knowledge of the entire airport buying chain from manufacturers, airport operators, developers and regulators to investors. The two-day event was supported by the Indonesia Ministry of Transportation, IABI, Angkasa Pura I; Angkasa Pura II; AirNav Indonesia and the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT – Komite Nasional Keselamatan Transportasi).

“The Airport industry in Indonesia is at the edge of significant changes and growth,” said Rachel Sturgess, Portfolio Director at show organisers Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “This makes it the ideal time for this event to take place, and attendees and exhibitors are seeing tangible value from the networking and business opportunities it provides.”

Airport Solutions Indonesia hosted 162 conference delegates across its two day run. The conference comprised five distinct sessions: including creating a competitive connected airport; advancing air traffic management, airport security, airport development and expansion, and airport 4.0. The two-day event was supported by the Indonesia Ministry of Transportation, IABI, Angkasa Pura I; Angkasa Pura II; AirNav Indonesia and the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT – Komite Nasional Keselamatan Transportasi).

The event attracted 540 attendees to the exhibition which featured 38 exhibitors from regional airport operators, safety and security technology providers, IT solutions, equipment manufacturers, system intergrators and a UK Pavilion comprising some of Britain’s key airport companies including Roadgrip, Ipsotek and Synergict.
